Assassin's Creed 2 coming out this November!!

Altair, now known as Ezio, is all set to hit the streets of Italy and pierce some noble hearts ,not the good noble, but the bad one's who extort money from the good people ;)

Assassin's Creed is expected to release on November 17th for PC, PS3 and XBOX 360 platform.
( nooooooooooo! PS2 is sinking!!)

After the awesome success of Assassin's Creed, Ubisoft is now under a lot of pressure from the whole world of gaming, to produce a better game in Assassin's Creed 2. That's not going to be an easy job, considering the excellence of the game-play, graphics, and other cool-features in Assassin's Creed.

Ubisoft will definitely have made changes to the first games engine. Moreover, this isn't the first time they face such pressure. Remember POP sands of time. That game changed the world of gaming in a year. Then Ubisoft came up with a totally different experience for gamers with the free-form fighting in Warrior Within. So, basically, I know the guys at Ubisoft are not fools and they are going to live up to the expectations.

Gaming Hardware Update #1.2

Now, for the Mid-range gamers, here goes:
AMD setup:

AM2+ setup

Depending on whether you're willing to go for the AM2+ setup, you can build a good PC using the Phenom II X4 940, which is the best in its class. But please note, you'll be quite restricted when it comes to future upgrades. So if you really aren't a hardcore gamer, you can go with this AM2+ setup and survive with this for about 5-6 years.
CPU: PhenomII X4 940............nothing beats this!!!

MOBO: Gigabyte 790X chipset motherboard

Graphics Card:
ATi Radeon HD 4890 HIS or Sapphire. Don't buy XFX, because it's not as good as the other high-performing ATi card. You can even go for Powercolor, because its the best performer.

Memory: Again, you can't use DDR3 memory with this setup. But you can use overclocked DDR2 RAM. Your best bet will be an OCZ or Corsair 4GB DDR2 1066 or 1333MHz (overclocked via the BIOS interface of the motherboard.)

Please note:
1)do not overclock an 800 MHz RAM to perform at 1066 MHz let alone 1333MHz.
2)You will also find that when you buy a RAM module which is said to run at 1066 or 1333 MHz, don't expect it do so by default. Mobos are told to take RAMs in stock frequency and the highest stock frequency is 800MHz so you'll see these RAMs running at 800. You'll have to log into the BIOS of your mobo to configure your mobo to read these RAMs at a particular speed.

HDD: Those of you who play a game or two and then delete them, and don't watch movies in HD or Blu Ray on their comp, should buy a WD velociraptor 300GB. Its the fastest baby in the market. For those who don't give a damn about data transfer speed, you should buy a Seagate or WD 1TB HDD.

Please note:
A particular model no. of Seagate is reported to have a lot of problems. Please check out the forums of Seagate before buy a SG HDD and check if the problem has been sorted out.

Cabinet: The NZXT Tempest is the best buy. Its cheap and will keep all your entrails cool with its six-fan configuration.

Keyboard/Mouse : Steelseries is the BEST!!!!!

Gaming Hardware update#1.1

OK for all those guys who have a tight budget, here goes:

CPU:
AMD AthlonII X2 550 Black Edition OR Intel Core i5(coming out soon, still don't know the price range, but I'm guessing that it would be an Intel competitor for the athlonII)

MOBO:
Any AM3 motherboard from Biostar or Jetway, both are cheap and good.
For the Intel CPU I'd suggest waiting for the new i5s to come out and then see if there's any cheap motherboard out yet. For the time being, MSI Eclipse is the cheapest and the best(its not very cheap though)

MEMORY:
Since AMD CPUs still don't support triple-channel DDR3 memory, you'll have to go with either a 4GB setup or a 2 GB setup. And.........since you're in a tight budget I think you should go for either a 4GB GSkill F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ (65$) or a 4GB Crucial Ballistix BL2KIT12864BE1608 (40$)
Intel owner's have better DDR3 options. They can choose between 3GB and 6GB. For the budget people, 3 GB is a better choice. A patriot 3 GB PSD33G1066KH is the best choice for entry-level gamers.

Video Card: This is the most important part. For entry-level gamers, there are a wide-selection of ATi and nVidia cards available. I will tell you the cards which offer the best value for money. An ATi HD 4770 512 MB GDDR5 card is most recommended because of the GDDR5 memory advantage over other video cards of its price range(110$). nVidia's GTS 250 is the primary competitor of the 4770 but it has GDDR3 memory which isn't as fast and it costs around 125$.

HARD DISK: A 640 GB Seagate or Western Digital will do quite nicely.

Keyboard/Mouse: Since you're an entry level gamer you don't need very cool input devices. You can buy a normal wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse combo.

Cabinet: Your best buy would be an Antec 900. Its a great mid-tower cabinet with decent cooling.

Gaming hardware

This post is mainly for PC gamers, but even other platform gamers might also find something of value in this post. I will be posting gaming hardware necessities and configurations from time-to-time as long as hardware is updated. There will be three levels of hardware configurations:
High-end gaming
Mid-range gaming
Entry-level gaming
Keep in mind, this is only my perspective and every suggestion I make might not be agreeable to you, so you can post a comment if you don't agree to something. Also there will be AMD and Intel variations but know this that the three levels are based on performance only and not price so it might be that a 1500$ AMD setup might be in the high-end gaming range but an Intel setup costing 1800-2000$ might be in the mid-range. I'll also be giving variations which can be used for certain things like RAM or Video cards. So if you're only looking to buy a particular component, you can check out which one to buy from the three sub-categories.
Not only that, for console gamers I'll specially be posting about controllers and memory cards which are recommended.
So stay tuned to all updates related to this thread of thought!!!!

PES 2010 is all set to release this winter!! The screenshot tells me that we have a great game coming our way. Just look at how Henry cuts past the Liverpool defence with Mascherano desperately sliding in for the ball. And Agger's facial expression is really so 'expressing'
